Batch 5 Induction

Page history last edited by mythili.kesav@... 3 mos ago

Dear Students,

A warm welcome to ASB - your second home for the next two years.

ASB's PGPM programme is challenging and demanding. To ensure that all incoming students have as smooth a start as possible, we have designed an  Induction Programme. A tentative structure for the Induction Programme follows this welcome message. You may start preparing yourself in areas where you think you may be lacking.

Keep visiting this page for updates. You are free to contact me on mercymth[AT]gmail.com.

Looking forward to the two years of enriched learning experience with you all :-)

Mercy Mathew

Dear students,

I am  Mrs. Mythili Kesavasamy, and I’ll be handling the Language component of the Induction.

I’m sure you are looking forward to meaningful engagement as you are waiting to join ASB. Here is a word game, which  you would enjoy playing in addition to adding words to your vocabulary.

 http://www.eastoftheweb.com/cgi-bin/top_scores.pl?game=eight

As you know the ability to read fast and grasp the essentials of a given text is an important skill required for all Management subjects. Try the following link to improve your abilities of comprehension:

http://depts.gallaudet.edu/englishworks/exercises/main/reading.html

For speed reading exercises, you may download the demo version of the following and try.

Similarly, you can try out the following link to improve your writing skills:

When you have doubts related to grammar and usage, refer to

www.usingEnglish.com

Are you comfortable reading e-books? Have you read any?

Feel free to get back to me on queries related to English.

Keep visiting the page frequently as there will be new postings taking place here.

Cheers!
